Creekflood - InsanityBiscuit
Starlingflight - me
Bullet; Blue The battle was finally over. But on the downside many were injured and Starlingflight herself lost a lot of blood. She stumbled into camp blood covering her front , her back legs, and her back mainly her left shoulder. She stumbled into the medicine den and couldn't utter a word before she lost consciousness. But when she woke back up the first thing she saw was the blood on her side and her lovers face in front of her.

Bullet; Green The moment he had heard so much as a whisper of his lover's return from the battle, Creekflood was on his webbed paws and taking large strides towards the medicine cat den. At first, he had simple poked his head through the entrance, peering around until his gaze settled on a familiar dark pelted form, barely recognizable from the amount of blood splattered along her pelt. For a moment, his heart lurched in his chest as his gaze settled on Starlingflight's form, but soon enough, he was jumping forward to sniff at her flank, and instinctively working on cleaning some of the blood from her thin fur. His hurried strokes seemed to be in rhythm with his pounding heart beat, and for a moment, he didn't seem to acknowledge that Starlingflight had woken in the midst of his vaguely panicked cleaning. When he did notice though, he quickly turned his head fully towards hers and pressed the top of his head to her cheek, careful not to press to hard so as not to disturb any of her wounds. His jaw was clenched as he nuzzled frantically against, her seeming to be working out the words to say between a few faint grasping starts of 'I-', 'You-' and 'Just-', yet never seeming to settle on a starter as he pressed himself closer to her, almost desperately breathing in her scent. Finally, he selected his words: "I should have gone with you."

Bullet; Blue Starlingflight looked at him for a moment then smiled weekly "but we won...I'll survive...it's fine...just a few scratches" she coughed a trace of blood heading up her throat. She tiredly urged her head forward to nuzzle him back but failed "I guess I'm just too tired to do anything...I'm sorry I won't be of much use around...at least I fought well...I don't remember much of it though..." she averted her eyes from the outside of the den to Creekfloods eyes "but I'm glad your here..." she was being optimistic. But maybe that was a good thing, she didn't blame him for what happened. She had a rash thought and couldn't help but want to help the others.

Bullet; Green The silver tom licked tentatively at her maw and the top of her nose, sighing softly. "Just," he paused to clear his throat and inhale deeply. "Please, just get rest and get better," he murmured, brushing his cheek against hers. The hammering of his heart had slowed by this point, but his worry was still present in the creases around his eyes and the wrinkles above his nose. Creekflood gently leaned his form against hers, carefully not to disturb her wounds any further whilst he pressed his ear against the edge of her chest, listening closely to the slow beat of her heart, as if for further reassurance.

Bullet; Blue Starlingflight chuckled weakly "don't worry yourself too much" she looked so fragile in her weakened state as if the slightest nudge would break her. Her breathing was slow but steady and the presence of Creekflood seemed to make her mood at ease.  She looked at him once more "though it would help to have some of the blood cleaned up " she gestured to the rest of the blood on her back, her neck, and her left shoulder with her tail and smiled . "It is nice to know you'd be so worried over me like this....it's cute in all honesty...." she chuckled once more her voice sounding more clear then before.

Bullet; Green He gave a half-hearted chuckle. "Someone's gotta watch out for you, love," he mused. "Who better than me?" As the question left his maw, he cast Starlingflight a teasing smirk and a soft hum before he leaned over to press his nose to her cheek in a chaste manner. To be honest, hearing her light flirting in her drowsy state was certainly more than amusing to the silver warrior, as well as faintly reassuring as he laid his tail along her back, and gently rested his head atop hers, purring softly. "To be fair though," he started, whiskers twitching with his pause. "Between the two of us, I'd say you're the cute one."

Bullet; Blue She flushed and tried to think of s comeback then purred "well I'm certainly not as hot as you~" she had no idea what had gotten into her head but she decided to make the most of it. Her prime objective was to take Creekfloods worries away. But she silently hoped that she'd be of use to the clan in some way the next day though she knew she would be resting for at least a few days

Bullet; Green Creekflood seemed taken aback by her sudden straightforwardness, however quickly shook off the surprise and leaned forward once more, a smirk trailing across his maw. He regarded her with a warm, affectionate gaze before he licked his cheek. "I believe you may have been given a poppy seed one too many," he teased, nuzzling her cheek and his whiskers twitching happily. "Not that I'm complaining," he added with a rumbling chuckle.

Bullet; Blue Starlingflight purred "maybe~ but that's okay~" she chuckled enjoying being next to him, even though her situation was a bit strange and possibly dangerous. She smiled "we haven't cuddled like this in a while. It's nice...very comfortable too"

Bullet; Green He regarded her with a warm smile, leaning over to gently press his cheek against hers. "That it is," he purred in agreement, letting a soft sigh pass his maw. "Though I do wish it were a chance under better circumstances," he added, drawling his last few words before he chuckled softly and let out a breath of ease, shoulders slowly relaxing as he settled comfortable beside Starlingflight, pressing their flanks close together.

Bullet; Blue Starlingflight smiled "yeah me too..." she winced in pain after a moment attempting at turning her neck to lick her shoulder. But alas all the laying down made her neck stiff. She let out a agitated huff and laid her head back down.

Bullet; Green Creekflood frowned momentarily, gently resting his head atop hers once again. "You should rest, love," he mewed, nuzzling against the nape of her neck, soft green eyes fluttering for a moment and licking gently at her now ruffled fur.

Bullet; Blue Starlingflight chuckled "its so hard too though...especially if I feel itchy" she smiled slightly and mumbled "I don't want to rest anyways....the only thing I need to get better is to be by your side..." she mewed something else not quite audible because she yawned.

Bullet; Green He gave a soft, warm laugh. "Well, you have me now," he purred. "Although, I'm certain that the medicine cat would disagree with you about the rest part," he added with another, half hearted chuckle. With a pause, he gave a soft sigh. "Besides," he started, nuzzling her cheek. "Once you're all healed up and you're out and about again, I'll promise you as much cuddling and stargazing as you want, dear," he mewed, nuzzling her cheek warmly.

Bullet; Blue The thought of stargazing together late at night make Starlingflights heart flutter "r-really?" Stargazing was truly a passion of hers. She loved it. She loved the stars. She loved him...Nothing could make that moment more perfect for her unless they were actually stargazing. She smiled "that would be very nice..." though they stargazed together before, it made Starlingflight happy that someone else liked doing it, and more importantly, the someone else was Creekflood.

Bullet; Green He smiled warmly and gave an affirming nod, licking the top of her head as she spoke. The gleam in her eyes at the thought of stargazing, and he couldn't help but chuckle softly at the sight. "Then we have our plans settled," he mused, playfully nuzzling her shoulder, though remaining mindful of her wounds, not wanting to reopen any of them. "But first, you need to take care of yourself and heal up, and then, I promise you, as much stargazing as you want, when you want," he added, leaning away just a moment to clearly peer down at her and give a friendly grin.

Bullet; Blue She nodded "well I guess I better get to resting" she sighed and laid her head down. suddenly fear crept into her mind "please don't leave though!" she mewed quickly fear in her tone. Starlingflight never liked being alone, though she was normally used to it, she didn't want to be alone now. Not when Creekflood could stay by her side. Not when she was hurt. The thought of being alone made her want to curl up into a ball in all honesty. The fear radiating from her eyes was probably sensible.

Bullet; Green Creekflood frowned at her sudden fear, his brow furrowing as he gently nudged her muzzle with his own. "Don't worry, dear," he started, accented voice low and soft as he tucked her head gingerly beneath his chin. "I'm not going anywhere," he added, tail curling around her form as best it could and one of his large, webbed paws reaching out to gently rest atop hers. "I'll be right here when you wake," Creekflood murmured. "I promise you."

Bullet; Blue Starlingflight smiles "kay....." she yawned and nuzzled him " thank you....I'm not used to someone being so kind to me" she chuckled lightly "its very much appreciated...." she closed her eyes

Bullet; Green "Well it's a good thing you have me around now," he purred, tail swaying for but a moment before he let it rest across her back once more. His own green eyes flickered closed and he cuddled himself closer to Starlingflight, breathing deeply as he nuzzled against her cheek.

Bullet; Blue "thanks for everything creekflood....you have no idea how great full I am to have you in my life..." Starlingflight yawned once more and purred "goodnight"
